One of the primary reasons the PAC was created was to provide a world-class venue for local performing arts groups.
We promote local groups’ performances in the PAC and financially support community group access.

These advocacy programs are made available by donations through the Foundation and are vital to keeping local artists onstage at the PAC.
The Foundation provides funds to support PAC Outreach’s School Matinee Series.
The School Matinee Performances program allows thousands of local children from public, private and home schools an opportunity to attend performances at the PAC during the school day.
Thanks to gifts from Members of the Foundation, the PAC will not be charging admission for students, teachers and chaperones to attend school matinees presented by PAC Outreach!
The Foundation works with Cal Poly and the City of San Luis Obispo to provide our community affordable access to the PAC, both as performers and audience members.
Did you know?
The partners’ contributions to the PAC’s operating budget total more than $1.7 million annually and help reduce the price of admission.
Thank you for your patronage of the PAC!
“The Foundation for the Performing Arts Center
is essential to the success of The Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo. We are a performing arts organization and only viable when we are producing work for the public in a professional and accessible way. The Foundation helps our non profit do just that, for that reason we and the community are forever thankful.”
Andrew Silvaggio, Artistic Director of The Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo
