Local Performing Arts Groups

One of the primary reasons the PAC was created was to provide a world-class venue for local performing arts groups.

We promote local groups’ performances in the PAC and financially support community group access.

Clifton Swanson Community Access to the PAC Fund:

The Foundation awards grant funding every year to keep the use of the venue affordable for resident performing arts companies.

The 2020-21 Swanson Fund Grant Cycle is now open!

Grants are due April 6th, 2020

Schools, Teachers & Students

The Foundation provides the PAC Outreach School Matinee Program.

The School Matinee Program allows thousands of local children from public, private and home schools an opportunity to attend educational, live arts performances at the PAC every school year.

Thanks to gifts from members of the Foundation, our Business Partners and Presenting Sponsor the Harold J. Miossi Charitable Trust, all costs of attending School Matinee shows are subsidized for every student, teacher and chaperone attendee. Due to support from our members, we now underwrite transportation costs for schools as well, making the program 100% free for all!

“The Foundation for the Performing Arts Center

is essential to the success of The Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo. We are a performing arts organization and only viable when we are producing work for the public in a professional and accessible way. The Foundation helps our non profit do just that, for that reason we and the community are forever thankful.”

Andrew Silvaggio, Artistic Director of The Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo
